  • Successfully defended NSAB in an arbitration against a satellite manufacturer where the manufacturer was seeking recovery of liquidated damages in the amount of 10 MUSD.
  • Provided expert advice to another law firm representing a satellite operator in a dispute with another satellite operator.
  • Advised a TT&C operator in connection with an investigation concerning the temporary loss of control over a satellite in orbit, for which client was performing satellite control operations.
  • Advised TerreStar Networks in relation to the EU selection procedure in which TerreStar Networks was engaged to obtain the authorization to operate a satellite and terrestrial network to provide mobile satellite services throughout the EU.
  • Appeared as an expert witness on satellite contracts in an ICC arbitration concerning subrogated claims amounting to 400 MUSD raised by the insurers against Boeing Satellite Systems International, Inc. (BSSI) upon a constructive total loss of a satellite delivered by BSSI to Thuraya.
  • Appointed as an expert witness on satellite contracts in litigation before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice concerning demanding arbitration, concerning a claim raised by Telesat against BSSI upon a constructive total loss of a satellite delivered by BSSI to Telesat.
  • Represented SES SIRIUS with respect to a complaint against the Swedish State concerning state subsidies to the digital terrestrial television network in Sweden causing the European Commission to initiate formal proceedings against the Swedish State.
  • Advised a manufacturer of satellite communications equipment in a dispute and subsequent arbitration with a contractor under an outsourcing agreement.
  • Advised a satellite manufacturer with respect to an implied warranty claim against the client by Telesat of Canada arising out of a telecommunications satellite construction contract between the client and its customer Spar Aerospace.
  • Represented Satellite Communications Systems Limited in connection with a dispute resulting from termination of transponder services by DFH Networks Inc. and the ensuing arbitration.
  • Advised NSAB and SSC with National Transcommunication Ltd and British Sky Broadcasting Ltd as co-defendants.
